Made in the USA

Scott Architectural Lighting is a manufacturing facility located in Northern California, USA. We design, develop, and build products in our plant using raw materials and components from various domestic sources. Most of our products are eligible for domestic government programs or can be modified to meet the requirements. We take pride in supporting domestic workers by paying them a living wage, and many of our employees have been with us for over 20 years.

We offer three government programs that most of our products comply with. When choosing a product for specification, you will see the option BAC under the part numbering system. Selecting this option ensures that we will use components that allow the fixtures to qualify for the BA, BAA, or BABAA programs when manufactured.

Thank you for supporting our USA-based manufacturing facility!

Buy America

Buy America requirements are set forth in an act of Congress in order to support US manufacturing, and more specifically, iron and steel production and other manufactured products.  Lighting is included in this requirement for many federally funded projects.  Most Scott Architectural Lighting Products meet these requirements under standard production, and others may be made in ways that meet these requirements.  We’ve added a BAC option to the fixture catalog number to ensure that.  Further, if you require a certification letter, please request one from the factory.

Buy American Act

The Buy American Act by Congress was enacted to support domestic manufacturing and supply, and assure that US federal purchases are made in the US, and that the cost of those products is at least 50% of material cost is from domestic sources.  Many Scott Architectural lighting Products meet these requirements under standard production, and others may be made in ways that meet these requirements.  The BAC option to the fixture catalog number to ensure that.  Further, if you require a certification letter, please request one from the factory.

Build America, Buy America Act

BABAA as it is nicknamed, requires that 55% or more of the total cost of a product comes from domestic manufacturing sources, and the product itself is manufactured in the US.  Our BAC option assures that this is the case, and you can confidently use a fixture with this option on a BABAA project.   If you require a specific letter of certification, please request one from the factory.
